Ramgarh, May 9: Two children who were kidnapped from Jobara Panchayat of Jamuntand, Bishnugarh Hazaribagh have been recovered from a house in Patratu under Ramgarh district.

The children are safe and have now returned to their native village. The police team and technical cell worked under Hazaribagh SP Manoj Ratan Chouthe. However, the main accused is still absconding.

Abducted Ayush (6) and Aryan (4) years are brothers. Their father’s name is Chetlal Mahto and their mother’s name is Manju Devi.

According to information, two middle-aged kidnappers, who posed as a relative of the children, escaped with Chetlal Mahto’s sons. The person who ran away with the children is from Kenduadih in Galhobar. He lured the children by telling them that he was from their aunt’s village.

The family was busy with some domestic work when he called the children by giving them two samosas. Then took the children along and started on his way to Phusro.

After some time, on not seeing the children in the house, the family members started finding them. Later, they got the information from the villagers that the children went with some unknown person.

After this, there was a stir in the village. In a hurry, people ran in search of the children. Later in the night, the information was given to the police station.

According to the information, the accused person had gone on foot.  But his companion was stationed with a bike waiting for him. It is being said that after leaving the village, the accused along with the children, and the companion, rode on the bike and managed to escape.

The kidnappers have been identified as Shukar Mahato and his one friend.  He is said to be a resident of Kenduadih in Galhobar. He lives in Patratu where his father was employed.
