Police recover woman’s body with injury marks in Deoghar village

Deoghar, April 21: The Deoghar police on Thursday had to rush to Trikut mountain after the body of a woman was discovered in a bushy desolate place on the road to Trikut mountain in Basiyadih village under the Mohanpur police station area.

The body was discovered half-naked lying on the ground. A severe damage mark on the back of the skull and a circle mark on the woman’s neck were also discovered. A plastic rope was also recovered from the spot.

When SDPO Pawan Kumar received the information, he raced to the scene, accompanied by the local circle inspector and the Mohanpur police incharge.

According to the SDPO, who spoke to lagatar24.com, said that prima facie, the case appears to be murder. He said that the police would conduct a thorough investigation and that the perpetrator would be arrested.

The deceased has not been identified yet, it was informed that she was last seen in the area yesterday evening. Meanwhile, the discovery of the dead body has caused a stir in the neighbourhood.
