Ranchi, April 7: Poshan Sakhis, who used to play their role in fighting against malnutrition in Jharkhand, today knocked the door of Jharkhand High Court for justice.
The development took place after the state government relieved them from their job on March 24 this year without assigning reason and left them jobless and helpless and Pramilia Kumari, secretary of their organization, Poshan Sakhi Sangh, left with no option other than knocking the door of court.
There are as many as 10388 Poshan Sakhis, including widows, disabled, extremely backward and tribals. They used to work in districts including Godda, Chatra, Dumka, Girihdih, Koderma and Dhanbad.
