Chaibasa, July 14: West Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ananya Mittal will be honoured with Bhoomi Samman Platinum Certificate. This honour will be given by President Droupadi Murmu on July 18 at Vigyan Bhawan New Delhi.
West Singhbhum is one of the nine districts in the state and one of the 75 districts across the country which have been included in the ‘Digital India Land Records Modernization Program (DILRMP)’ launched by the central government and thus have been selected for the award.
The Government of India is honouring those districts with ‘Bhoomi Samman’, which have digitized land related records in a better way.
Apart from West Singhbhum, the other districts of the state are Chatra, Dumka, Giridih, Gumla, Khunti, Lohardaga, Seraikela-Kharsawan and Simdega where digitization of land record is going at a good pace. In these nine districts, more than 99% work of digitization of sale deeds, Khatiyan and other land related documents has been completed.
Under DILRMP, digitization of land records is underway in 766 districts of 28 states and union territories across India. In this, the DC and Assistant Commissioner of 75 districts, including West Singhbhum, who digitized the land records in a better way, received the award from the President.
