New Delhi, Jan 11: The Delhi government ordered the closure of all private workplaces and restaurants in the city on Tuesday due to the escalating number of Covid-19 cases.
Private offices and restaurants were formerly allowed to operate at 50% capacity.
Only those private offices that fall under the essential services/exempted category will be allowed to remain open under the updated guidelines published by the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA).
All private offices were running with 50% of their staff working from home at the time.
Delhi’s eateries and bars would be entirely shut down. The eateries will only offer home delivery and takeaway of food items. The DDMA has also ordered that the dine-in service in restaurants and bars will be discontinued in the national capital. Earlier, the eateries and bars in the capital were allowed to run with 50 per cent capacity to curb the spread of coronavirus.
