Dubai: A Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise has sparked a social media storm by leaving India out of its promotional poster for the India–Pakistan Super Four clash at the Asia Cup 2025. The Karachi Kings’ matchday graphic, posted on X ahead of Sunday’s showdown in Dubai, is the second such instance this tournament, reviving debate about off-field tensions overshadowing cricket.

Poster Leaves Out India Again

The Karachi Kings shared a chess-themed visual showing Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha seated at a board, while the slot meant for India was left as a black silhouette. The move follows a similar controversy earlier when another Asia Cup franchise excluded Pakistan from its artwork, prompting backlash online. After criticism mounted, Karachi Kings disabled comments on their post but offered no explanation.

Focus Still On High-Stakes Clash

Despite the poster row, excitement for the game remains intense. India outplayed Pakistan in their group-stage meeting, chasing 128 runs with ease after Kuldeep Yadav’s 3/18 spell, though the contest ended with tense scenes over a handshake snub dedicated to the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack. Both sides head into the Super Four after convincing wins, with fans and broadcasters anticipating another gripping chapter in the storied rivalry.
