Pulse Polio campaign in Ramgarh from July 2-4

Ramgarh, June 17: Under the pulse polio campaign, a meeting was organized in the collectorate hall under the chairmanship of Deputy Development Commissioner (DDC) Robin Toppo on Saturday.

Dr Amol from the WHO first gave detailed information about Polio, Measles and Rubella, routine vaccination and other important topics through PPT.

Civil surgeon Dr Prabhat Kumar informed the DDC and other officials that the pulse polio campaign will run from July 2 to July 4.  During this, on the first day i.e. on July 2, the guardians can go to the booth and get polio drops to their children, while on July 3 and 4, Sahiyas and other health workers will go door-to-door to give polio drops to the children.  Along with this, he said that under the Pulse Polio campaign, about 1 lakh 72 thousand 146 children in the district are to be given polio drops.

The DDC gave necessary instructions to the Civil Surgeon and other concerned officers in view of making the pulse polio campaign successful in the Ramgarh district. He made a micro plan and directed to give 100 per cent polio drops to the children in a planned manner, along with training all the health workers working in the polio campaign well and removing any kind of dilemma for them.

On the occasion, the DDC directed the officers of Public Relations, Social Welfare, Education Department and other related departments to work in coordination with each other.
