New Delhi, Oct 16: Sundar Sham Arora, a former minister for Punjab, was detained by the vigilance office on Sunday for allegedly bribing Manmohan Kumar, the AIG, in connection with a vigilance investigation on him. Under the Prevention of Corruption Act, a FIR has been filed against him.
“Our team caught Sundar Sham Arora red-handed while he was offering bribe & arrested him u/s 8 (Prevention of Corruption Act); recovered the Rs 50 lakh bribe money. We’ll produce him in court today and seek remand for interrogation,” said V Kumar, Chief Director, Vigilance Bureau Punjab.
