Ramgarh, July 13: During rod cutting in PVUNL, a labour was injured when a bundle of rebar fell on his leg.  The accident occurred on Wednesday at 7 pm.  The injured labour has been referred outside for better treatment after first aid in the local hospital.

It was told that Sanjay Kumar, son of Haridayal Mahto, labour of BHEL’s Kanwar company working under PVUNL company, was seriously injured at 7 pm.  He is a resident of the village of Hesla Basgara.  He is working in this company for the last four to five years.

When Sanjay was cutting a rod, the bundle of rebar fell on his feet.  Due to this, his leg got broken.  In a hurry, he was picked up from there and brought to PVUNL Company’s hospital where he got the first aid.

The Sangharsh Morcha alleged that due to the 100% non-compliance with the safety rules laid down by the company, accidents are taking place here.  It was said that if the company does not bring changes in its working methods agitation will be started on behalf of Morcha whose full responsibility will be of the company.
