Ranchi: Ranchi Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri on Friday set an example of responsive governance during the ‘Janata Darbar’ by listening to the grievances of the public and ensuring on-the-spot resolutions for many issues. He emphasized that the district administration’s top priority is the quick redressal of public problems.
People From Urban And Rural Areas Presented Their Issues
During the Janata Darbar, people from both urban and rural areas presented their complaints and problems before the DC. Taking every case seriously, Bhajantri instructed concerned officials to take immediate action.
Homeless Woman Provided Shelter
A homeless woman, accompanied by her one-and-a-half-year-old child, approached the DC seeking help. She informed that her husband had abandoned her, and none of her relatives were supporting her. The DC promptly arranged temporary accommodation for the woman and her child at the One Stop Center.
Assistance For Child’s School Admission
A labourer woman approached the DC regarding the school admission of her child. The DC directed the District Education Superintendent to complete the admission process. In another case, a woman requested a waiver of school fees, for which the DC instructed coordination with the concerned school for an appropriate resolution.
Correction Of Names In Ration Card
A resident from Hindpiri complained about incorrect names of family members in his ration card. The DC immediately called the district supply office staff, verified the documents, and ensured the correction, providing relief to the applicant.
Land Dispute From Kanke Circle Addressed
During the Janata Darbar, a complaint regarding a land dispute in Oyna Mauza under Kanke Circle was also received. The DC directed the Additional Collector and Sub-Registrar to investigate and take necessary action.
