Jamshedpur, Dec 3: Leading cable manufacturer R R Kabel has ruled out any investment plans in Jharkhand.
Chairman of R R Global Tribhuvan Kabra who was in here for attending a company event said currently conditions are not favourable for any investment in Jharkhand.
Lack of raw materials for cable manufacturing and deteriorating law and order are some of the reasons for the group’s fir staying away from investments in Jharkhand.
Kabra declared that RR Global has plans of investing Rs 1,000 crore in Gujarat and other states in various projects during the next three years.
He said the group’s current annual turnover is Rs 7,500 crore. ” We have plans of increasing the turnover to Rs 20,000 crore in five years,” he said, adding that their current workforce in the country is 15,000.
Unfolding the group’s other plans he said soon they would start manufacturing MCB’s and also venture into cement, ply and steel business.
The group which is already making electric bikes would soon make electric cars, he said.
The chairman also revealed other activities of the group including its Ved Vidyalayas which teaches Sanskrit.
The group runs two such Ved Vidyalaya at Silvassa and at Baroda enrolling around 75 students.
