Ranchi, Jan 28: Former CM Raghubar Das lashed out at the JMM government by presenting the exploitation done by the present government during the tenure of 25 months during a press conference held at Press Club, Ranchi today.
The former CM alleged the Hemant government of getting into power by giving slogans of water, forest and land which are now being exploited under the patronage of one family of the state.
Das said that after the formation of the government, initially there used to be news of tussle between brother and brother in the ruling family, but now this news has stopped coming. The reason behind this is that now the work has been divided.
In Santhal, illegal sand and stone business has come under the responsibility of one brother, while illegal coal work is going on under the protection of another brother.
Raghubar alleged that a big scam has been committed in the auction of sand ghats in the present government. In 2019, during the tenure of the BJP government, expressions of interest were sought in relation to the sand ghats. Successful companies were also decided, but in the meantime, the government changed and the cases became pending. Even after 25 months, the situation remains the same.
“Illegal sand mining is in full swing in Dumka’s Shikaripara, Jama-Ramgarh. Every day, more than Rs 20 lakh worth sand is being sent out under the protection of the government from the Bhurbhuri river of Jama,” he said.
The former CM said that at present, more than 100 acres of land is mined by Grand Mining Company in Golpur Mauja, Pakuria block of Pakur. At the same time, no transportation can take place without the permission of the local MLA’s henchmen to send goods from that siding.
“These people have formed two new companies Pragati Infra (PDTI) and Kaushal Kishore Singh (KKS). The name of these two companies has to be indented; otherwise, there will be no transportation. Sand, coal-laden trucks are being allowed to go out of Dumka only after collecting Rs 4500,” he said.
Raghubar said that the Hemant government’s hands are also black in the black business of coal. There is so much control of the mafia in coal that even government companies are not being allowed to extract coal in the state.
“In Kalyanpur and Badalpur of Dumka, CM’s close friend, Kalamuddin Ansari is doing black business of illegal coal worth crores. Coal worth more than Rs. eight crore is being mined every day and sent to Bihar, Bengal and Nepal,” he added.
