Ranchi, Feb.22: Former national president and MP from Wayanad parliamentary constituency, Rahul Gandhi today reiterated the supremacy of common workers in the party reminding the party quota ministers in the Hemant Soren government of their limit.
Gandhi, who was addressing party workers online during the concluding day of three-day Chintan Shivir at Madhuban in Giridih, said that ministers should not forget that they were in their position as the party workers have chosen them to be there and if they wish they can show them way out of the cabinet.
Gandhi’s words boosted the morale of party workers present in the Chintan Shivir. This was reflected as the party workers welcomed the observation clapping their hands. All the ministers from the party quota were present in the meeting.
Gandhi asked senior leaders of the party to give due respect to those workers who strengthen the party and help create such an atmosphere in the state that ordinary workers can feel that it is their government in the state.
Earlier, Gandhi counted the priorities of the party and asked them to stop the BJP and the RSS from imposing the ideology of Nagpur in Jharkhand. He asked the party workers to protect the DNA of Jharkhand before explaining how respect for all castes, creeds, and religions exists in the state.
Referring to his speech in the Parliament, Gandhi told the party workers that India is a union of states and the concept is different from the BJP, which sees India as a nation, which is nowhere mentioned in the Constitution of India.
Gandhi, whose father Rajeev Gandhi and grandmother prime Indira Gandhi became victims of terrorism in India, said that states have come together by negotiations and the matter is looked after by several constitutional institutions which are under attack by the BJP and the Congress party, for which each state of the country is important, has to save the institutions from the attack.
