New Delhi, Aug 26: In an address to the Delhi parliament on Friday, Chief Minister and AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and claimed that the recent searches by investigation agencies on Delhi ministers were related to the elections in Gujarat.
In order to demonstrate that no AAP MLA has defected, Kejriwal also stated that he would introduce a resolution of confidence in the Delhi assembly.
“The BJP’s fortress in Gujarat is under threat and is crumbling now. ED, CBI raids on us are due to the upcoming polls in Gujarat,” he said.
Kejriwal claimed that during searches of Manish Sisodia’s home, the CBI failed to uncover even a single cent.
“Vested interests are now trying to topple the Delhi government. They toppled governments in Manipur, Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Arunachal Pradesh, and Maharashtra. There is a serial killer on the prowl in the city,” Kejriwal said in the House.
In a speech to the Delhi Assembly during a special session, Kejriwal said that the BJP was stealing MLAs using funds obtained from the GST and the increase in the price of gasoline and diesel.
He asserted that the BJP has so far bought 277 MLAs across the nation. He claimed the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi has now begun an investigation at “our colleges. They want to halt the beneficial work that is done in hospitals and schools “.
