Dhanbad, May 24: The Railway Board has given the green signal to the commercial stoppage of Dhanbad-Tatanagar Swarnarekha Express trains (13301/13302) at  Pathardih railway station under Dhanbad Rail Division of the East Central Railway from May 25.

A senior official of the Dhanbad Rail Division giving this information said that Dhanbad MP PN Singh will inaugurate the commercial stoppage at 6 am on Thursday. Jharia MLA  Purnima Singh will also grace the occasion.

Swarnarekha Express up(13301) would reach Pathardih station at 6.25 am in the morning and set out for Jamshedpur ( Tatanagar) at 6.35 am. In returning to Dhanbad, the train (13302) will arrive at Pathardih station at 20.30 from Tatanagar and set out for Dhanbad at  20.40.

With the commercial approval of stoppage now the passengers would get a ticket facility at Pathardih railway station.

Though before the Corona pandemic, Swarnarekha Express had a stoppage at Pathardih railway station under Dhanbad Rail Division, but when train services resumed operation after Corona, the stoppage of Swarnarekha Express was cancelled at different stations, including Pathardih station.

The train (Swarnarekha Express) used to stop at Pathardih railway station for 20 minutes daily for changing the engine. Since it had no commercial stoppage, the ticket was not sold here. Now after getting commercial stoppage approval from Railway Board as well as East Central Railway Zone, the ticket would be issued from May 25.

The official said now along with the general ticket, the AC chair car seat would be also booked from Pathardih station.
