MANOJ SINHA
Ramgarh, Aug 20: The relentless heavy rains over the previous two days have caused the Bhairavi river to flood once again this morning in the vicinity of Rajrappa’s Siddhapeeth Chhinnamastika temple. The Damodar River’s water level has risen too.
Due to this, business owners have incurred damages as flood waters entered dozens of flower offerings and Manihari shops on the river’s banks.
Shop owners anticipated that the constant rain would cause the water level of the Bhairavi to rise even more. Because of this, several of them spent the night in the temple and closed up shop in time so it has not done much harm.
The devotees’ issues have gotten worse as a result of the water gushing over the Chhilka bridge as water is flowing several feet above the Chhilka bridge.
Many store owners said, “The bamboos in many shops were washed away in the past due to the Bhairavi River’s rising water level, which they had rebuilt and spent capital in the hopes of making a profit. But the rain has troubled the shop owners yet again. They will suffer a double blow as a result.”
The priests here said that while the river’s water level was normal in the evening, it rose overnight. However, it is prohibited for the arriving pilgrims to approach the water due to the increasing flood.
