Ramgarh admin announces public holiday on Feb 27 amid bypolls

Ramgarh, Feb 11: A public holiday has been declared in all government offices or industrial establishments and public banks in Ramgarh on February 27, the day of polling for the Ramgarh bypolls.  

Notably, a notification in this regard has been issued by the Department of Personnel, Administrative Reforms and Official Language.

After the instructions received from the Chief Electoral Officer regarding the Ramgarh Vidhan Sabha by-election, the District Election Officer cum Deputy Commissioner Madhavi Mishra has fixed 48 hours before the end of polling, from 5 pm on February 25 as a dry day.  

Moreover, till 5 pm on the day of counting March 2, has also been declared as a dry day in the entire district.  During this period, no spirit containing, intoxicating liquor or other substance of similar nature shall be sold, given or distributed in any hotel, restaurant, bar, shop or any other private or public place.  

Further, during this period, all country liquor, foreign liquor, composite liquor shops, bars and restaurants, clubs, Pali Hills Breweries Pvt Ltd Canteen Store Department, wholesale godowns and retail military canteens will remain completely closed.
