Ramgarh, July 28: Ramgarh district BJP has strongly protested against the ‘Rashtrapatni’ remark on President Droupadi Murmu by Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Choudhary.
“Addressing a tribal woman president as “national wife” by Leader of the Opposition in the House and Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury is not only an insult to a woman but also a sign of anti-tribal mindset,” said BJP Ramgarh District President Praveen Mehta in a demonstration program organised near Ramgarh sub-divisional office on Thursday.
He went on to say that the left-thinking Congress has not digested the fact that a woman from a poor tribal family has reached the highest post in the country. This is why their leader insulted a tribal woman which the BJP strongly opposes.
Ramgarh Vidhan Sabha’s candidate cum MP representative Rananjay Kumar alias Kuntu Babu, who was present in the program, opposed the statements of Adhir Ranjan and said that the words that the impatient Congress leader has said against a woman President are unparliamentary and an insult to the country.
“Due to these anti-national policies and language, the Congress, which once enjoyed majority power in the entire country, has now been reduced to two and a half states,” he said.
General Secretary Ranjan Fauji, Vice President Akhilesh Prasad, East District President cum MP Representative Prakash Mishra, Mahila Morcha District President Laxmi Devi, Kisan Morcha District President Sunny Kushwaha, Yuva Morcha District President Avitesh Singh and others were present during the protest.
