Ramgarh, Jan 20: With the announcement of the Ramgarh assembly by-election, the curiosity of the people of the district has increased regarding those who will contest the elections. People are most interested in the Congress candidate.

Bajrang Mahto, the husband of former MLA Mamta Devi, wants to get the tickets, while on the other hand Amit Kumar Mahto, brother-in-law of former Ramgarh MLA Mamta Devi, along with his supporters, presented a claim for the ticket after meeting the state Congress president on Thursday. A copy of the application has also been given to the leader of the Congress Legislative Party Alamgir Alam and Jharkhand state in-charge Avinash Pandey.

In the application given to the Congress State President in Ranchi, he said that former Congress MLA Mamta Devi and a thousand of people took membership in the Congress party under his leadership in 2019. His family had decided that Mamta Devi would be promoted ahead of my family in electoral politics. Also, Ramgarh Gola and Dulmi are his political land. He also said that people believe that only he can beat the opponent Sunita Chowdhary.

Moreover, Amit Kumar Mahato has appealed to conduct a survey in the assembly constituency, so that the party can find out the truth. If the party makes him a candidate, he will win the Ramgarh assembly seat and give it to the Congress party.
