Ramgarh: CCL employee shot dead by unknown criminals

Ramgarh, Aug 9: A CCL employee identified as Amit Bakshi (40) was shot dead by unknown criminals late on Monday night in Central Saunda under Ramgarh district.

Police sources said,” Amit Bakshi was returning home from a Jagran on his bike at midnight on Monday.  During this, three criminals, who came on a bike at some distance from the house, pushed Amit’s bike and dropped him. Then they ran away after firing five bullets.”

The criminals fired bullets at Amit near Dr Ashok’s Clinic. Two bullets hit his head and two hit his leg, injuring him seriously.

He was taken to a nearby private hospital where the doctor referred him to Medanta Hospital in Ranchi. The doctors at Ranchi hospital declared Amit brought dead.

Ramgarh SP Piyush Pandey said, “A man has been shot in Central Saunda. He died during treatment. Police are seriously investigating the incident.”

The DVR machine of CCTV installed in Amit Bakshi’s house has been seized by the police.
