Ramgarh, Nov 27: The Court of Principal District and Sessions Judge on Saturday convicted three accused while hearing the case of robbery and murder of Manmohan Singh working in Hanrhi Dadi, CCL.

The court convicted the accused Sameer Khan, Sandeep Kumar alias Vicky Kumar Singh and Md Lukman. The court has further fixed November 29 for the next hearing regarding sentencing of the convicts.

The court convicted them after hearing the arguments presented by the public prosecutor R B Rai and testimony from seven witnesses including the investigating officer.

Notably, the incident took place on August 12, 2021 at around 1 in the morning.  While patrolling in Shyal No. 10, Suresh Prasad Yadav found Manmohan Singh on the roadside in an injured condition.  Singh was later admitted in the Patratu Hospital.

Meanwhile, Singh said that after doing his duty, he had reached near Syal number 10 jungle on his scooty, where three boys forcibly stopped him. After this, all three forcefully took the keys of his scooty, mobile phone, and a few important documents in his purse. Furthermore, they hit and injured him with sticks.

Singh’s forehead had severe injuries. He died during treatment.  On the other hand, during patrol, the three accused were caught, after which the police recovered the purse and necessary documents looted from Singh.
