Ramgarh Cricket Association pays tribute to Late Amitabh Choudhary

Ramgarh, Aug 19: The Ramgarh Cricket Association on Friday organised a condolence meeting at Lions Club on the sudden demise of former acting secretary of BCCI, former president of JSCA and former IPS officer Amitabh Choudhary. 

Apart from the people associated with RCA, cricket lovers, players and others were present in large numbers and one by one bowed to Amitabh Choudhary’s picture and paid heartfelt tribute. Raman Mehra and Subodh Kumar Pandey Arun Kumar Rai paid tribute by laying wreaths.

Arun Kumar Rai, Secretary, Ramgarh Cricket Association, who had worked with him earlier and remained very close for years, shared the time spent with him and the saga of his unique efforts and struggles for cricket with the sports fans  present.

Rai said that with giving a new dimension to international cricket in Jharkhand, Jharkhand State Cricket Association has reached the milestone in his time. RCA Senior Vice President Subodh Kumar Pandey said that Amitabh Choudhary has taken JSCA to the point from where they have to take it forward together.

Pandey said that promoting cricket in Ramgarh would be a real and true tribute to him. In the tribute meeting, everyone collectively kept a two-minute silence and prayed to God for  peace of the departed soul.

JSCA member and RCA patron Raman Mehra, JSCA member and senior vice president Subodh Kumar Pandey, JSCA member Rananjay Kumar, Honorary Secretary Arun Kumar Rai, Vice President Girdhari Gop, Suraj Prasad, Paramdeep Singh Kalra, Virendra Prasad Paswan, Upendra Prasad were specially present on the occasion.  Under 14, Under 16, Under 19 and Senior District cricket including Singh, Rashid Ahmed, Harendra Rai, Mahendra Rana, Raju Singh, Panchit Mahto, Manoj Singh, Anil Kumar Sinha, Ravi Munda, Anand Kumar, Anil Kumar, Santosh Kumar etc.  Players and women cricket players were present.

The tribute meeting was presided over by Senior Vice President Subodh Kumar Pandey, while the conducted Secretary, Arun Kumar Rai,  vote of thanks by Raman Mehra.
