Ramgarh, Aug 24: A total of 80 students from DAV Barkakana on Wednesday were administered the oath of Scouts and Guides on the occasion of Amrit Mahotsav program of 75th year of independence. The students belong to class VI and VII.

The flag hoisting of the special flag of Scouts and Guides was done by the school principal Dr Urmila Singh under the direction of district coordinator Rajiv Jaiswal.

Blessing the children, Dr Urmila Singh said that Scouts and Guides work to develop the spirit of social service and service to the nation at the national and human level and will be able to protect not only themselves but also others in the time of famine.

Speaking on the occasion, Rajiv Jaiswal said that after joining this, children themselves will understand their responsibility towards the country and society and will become more aware of their duty.  He said that on the 75th anniversary of independence, I want to take a pledge that when the 100th anniversary is celebrated, we should stand in the category of developed countries.
