Ramgarh: Deputy Commissioner Madhavi Mishra inaugurated the Health Prosperity Project on Tuesday in order to improve the nutritional status of malnourished children in the remote areas of the Ramgarh district.
She also flagged off the Health Prosperity vehicle from the Collectorate premises.
The Swasthya Samridhi Vehicle, operated by the district administration and funded by the DMFT, is being implemented by Rajkumari Foundation.
Nutrition camps will be operated at two or more places and food and other materials will be delivered to two or more camps at an interval of 30 minutes and through one vehicle, made for the purpose of saving time and money.
This vehicle will also work as a storage room, having different sizes of windows and drawers, within which the contents of the nutrition camp will be safely stored. This vehicle will also help in taking the camp workers to remote rural areas. Monitoring of each and every activity of the camp will be done with the help of cloud based cameras fitted in the centrally monitored vehicle.
Maximum of 40 extremely malnourished children with low weight relative to their age and their parents will be benefited in each camp. The Mobile Malnutrition Treatment Vehicle promises to provide two types of facilities- Malnourished children will be given age-appropriate nutritious food three times a day prepared under the supervision of a specialist as well as this medical van will go from village to village as per the roster and work on telemedicine for the malnourished children and adults.
