Ramgarh, Nov 19: Dignitaries felicitated Ramgarh resident Praveen Kumar who won international gold medal in kick boxing. Renowned industrialist of South India Sanjay Agarwal honored him by presenting jersey and flower bunch to Praveen Kumar. The gold medalist was also honored by Vijay Mewar, Provincial Vice President of Laghu Udyog Bharti, Shashi Pandey, District Secretary of Judo Association. The felicitation ceremony was organized at Yamaha’s Showroom Shivam Bikes located in the Hotel Shivam Inn Campus among the sportspersons and other dignitaries of the district.
In the first week of November this year, a four-day competition was organized at Talkatora Stadium in Delhi. Participants from 33 countries took part in this competition. This competition was between the 86 kg weight category. In this competition, Praveen Kumar has brought laurels to the state including Ramgarh district by winning the international gold medal. Earlier this year, Praveen Kumar won the senior kick boxing competition in the 86 kg category bar held in Chennai and also won gold medal.
Eminent industrialist Sanjay Agarwal said that Jharkhand is not only rich in mineral wealth, but the state is also full of young talent. There is a need to encourage them in Jharkhand. Agarwal said that he is always ready to participate in such efforts of the region. Provincial Vice President of Laghu Udyog Bharti Vijay Mewar said that Praveen Kumar has set an example for the youth of the region by winning gold medals in competitions from across the country and abroad. Laghu Udyog Bharti is always ready to cooperate with these youth. Shashi Pandey, District Secretary, Judo Association said, “Praveen Kumar has achieved this position in the Trample of Warriors because of his hard work in the last four years of training. This success of Praveen has increased the pride of Jharkhand state along with Ramgarh district.
