Ramgarh, Mar16: In a bizarre incident, a father of four children climbed an electric tower after his girlfriend refused to marry him. The incident took place at Chhatarmandu under the Ramgarh police station area.
The young man threatened his girlfriend in Sholay’s Veeru style that if she did not marry him, he would jump to death.
The villagers kept on persuading the young man to come down but the lover’s drama continued. He was on the power grid tower which was more than 50 feet high on the banks of Damodar River in Chattarmandu village for two hours.
When people saw him climbing to the top of the tower, they asked him to come down but he refused. On the information of the people, the police reached the spot and took him down after trying.
Two-three people climbed up after turning off the power supply of the tower and brought him down.
He told that he is in love with a girl. When the girl came to know that he is the father of four children, she refused to marry him.
After hours of effort, he was brought down and the police took the youth with them to the police station.
