Ramgarh, Feb 5: Mission Pink Health Camp was organised at Block Headquarters Middle School on Sunday under the guidance of the Indian Medical Association.
Over 150 girl students of the school had their haemoglobin and health checkups done under the supervision of Dr Santwana Sharan, State Coordinator of Mission Pink Health along with Dr Nidhi Bajaj, Dr Sudhir Arya, Dr Mrityunjay Kumar Singh and several other doctors and health workers.
After the check-up, the girl students were advised to consume more green vegetables and take nutritious food in order to prevent anaemia. At the same time, iron tablets were also given to girl students to prevent anaemia.
On the other hand, detailed information about bad and good touch was also given while informing about the physical changes and problems faced by the girl students along during and after puberty.
Dr Santwana Sharan and Dr Nidhi Bajaj gave detailed information about problems related to menstruation, anaemia, menstrual hygiene, proper nutrition, and the migration of girls from Jharkhand.
At the end of the programme, a first aid box was given to the school principal. After organising the camp, Dr Santwana Sharan informed that anaemia was found in 18 girl students during the examination.
