Ramgarh, Aug 20: Police busted the murder case of Hari Mahto on Saturday. His body was found on August 9 at Kenduadih, Salgo, under the Basal police station area. In this case, the ex-girlfriend of the deceased and her new lover from the village of the deceased were arrested by the police and forwarded in judicial custody.
Deceased Hari Mahto’s love affair was with a non-Hindu girl living in Karma. Later, the love affair of the girl started with the local boy of her community. Hari Mahto was constantly pressurizing the girlfriend not to talk to other boy and not to get married elsewhere. On this, the girlfriend conspired with the new lover to kill him. On the evening of August 7, the girl and her new boyfriend reached Kenduadih, Salgo on his bike along with Hari Mahto by bluffing where both of them killed Hari Mahto by slitting his throat.
When Hari Mahto did not return home on August 7, the next day, on August 8, an application was filed regarding his missing at Ramgarh police station. On the other hand, on August 9, Basal police recovered an unknown body in Salgo. The bike of the deceased was also recovered from the spot. The relatives of the deceased, who reached Basal police station on the information of finding of an unknown body, identified the dead body as Hari Mahto. After this, the police intensified the investigation.
The police arrested the deceased’s girlfriend and her new boyfriend and sent them to judicial custody. According to the police, both have accepted their crime.
