Ramgarh, June 6: The Jharkhand State Karate championship 2022 under the banner of the Karate Association of Jharkhand, organised for the upcoming national karate championship to be held at Pune, concluded at Shaheed Tana Bhagat indoor stadium Khelgaon in Ranchi.
A total of 74 players from the Ramgarh district participated in the state karate championship. The karatekas of Ramgarh bagged 36 gold medals and topped the medal tally in the championship.
Ramgarh district junior team won the winner trophy in the team karate event for girls and the runner-up trophy in the senior category of team kata boys and girls.
The gold medalists will participate in the upcoming national karate championship to be held at Pune on June 17, 18 and 19.
President of Ramgarh district Karate-Do Association Shihan Narendra Sinha and general secretary Shashi Pandey called this a historic win for the students, their parents and also for the entire people of Ramgarh district as this is the best medal haul for Ramgarh in the state karate championship. They are also sure of winning medals in the upcoming national karate championship.
Various sports lovers from Ramgarh district welcomed them with open arms upon their arrival after winning this state karate championship namely Rajiv Jaiswal, Vijay Mewad, Sumit Kumar, Sanjay Sonkar, and Rahul Pandey, Dhriti Bose and others.
