Ramgarh, Oct 19: The Ramgarh district is likely to get a Law College in the building that is being built for Ramgarh Mahila Mahavidyalaya.

Presently, Ramgarh Mahila Mahavidyalaya is running in the building of Ramgarh College.

The work is going on in full swing for the huge building in Lari under the name of Ramgarh Model College. The process to shift the Mahila Mahavidyalaya in that building is on since 2021.

Meanwhile, the Human Resource Department of Jharkhand is thinking of running a law college in Ramgarh which would require a building. Therefore, a proposal has been sent by the Director of HRD to the National University of Study and Research in Law, Ranchi that a Law College can also be run on the Model College building.

Regarding the proposal, the Vice Chancellor of the National University of Study and Research in Law, Ranchi Prof (Dr) Keshav Varrakula and Associate Professor Dr Subir Kumar visited Ramgarh and Lari on Wednesday for inspection.

The officials first reached Ramgarh Mahila Mahavidyalaya at Ramgarh College and took detailed information from the Principal in-charge of the Women’s College, Dr Rekha Prasad. On reaching Lari, the officials inspected the three-storied building and checked the facilities being provided.

A report will be submitted by the concerned authority soon which will decide whether Ramgarh will get a law college or not.
