Ramgarh Police confiscate 21 cartons of illegal liquor from pickup van

Ramgarh, July 26: Ramgarh Police are conducting regular raids against illegal liquor in the district.

In this connection, they arrested a pickup van driver while confiscating the vehicle which was carrying illicit liquor in a large amount after conducting an operation in the Mandu police station area.

In a press conference on Monday, Ramgarh SDPO Kishore Kumar Rajak said that based on secret information, a team was formed under the leadership of Mandu police station in-charge Naveen Kumar. The police carried out a vehicle checking campaign at Balsagara More. During this, a huge cache of illegal liquor was recovered from a white-coloured pickup van.

The driver of the vehicle, Ajnesh Kumar Mahato, a resident of district Vaishali, Bihar, was arrested. 1,007 bottles of 180 ml Royal Party Malt Whiskey and 60 bottles of 750 ml 111 Marka Whiskey have been recovered from the vehicle in 21 cartons.

Police officials including Puni Santosh Kumar Gupta, Anil Hembrom, Suman Kumar Thakur, Prem Prasad Mehta, and Pradeep Kumar were present in the campaign.
