Dhanbad, Jan 13: Thousands of retired Gramin Banks employees of the state will stage a protest in support of their 14-point demands including service benefits as per the regulation of the bank at the head office in Ranchi on January 27.
Ram Pukar, general secretary of the Jharkhand State Gramin Bank Retirees Association said that mismanagement prevails in the Jharkhand State Gramin Bank, arbitrariness, the instructions of the Government of India are disobeyed and also the not giving benefits and facilities to the retired bank employees by working against the rules.
Considering all points, the organisation has decided to hold a demonstration and dharna at the bank’s head office for justice, he added.

The general secretary said that appointments on the grounds of compassion have been stopped in Gramin Bank for a long. As a result, the Retired Employees Association has called for immediate registration of the employees as per the government guidelines.
The retired employees are deprived of bank services and health insurance schemes, so the association demands for insurance coverage. The amount was illegally deducted in the name of provident funds and pensions. The association is also demanding reimbursement of retired employees and pension plans.
