Ramgarh, March 31: Karamchand Oraon, a resident of village Kahuva Beda, reached the SBI Sirka Ramgarh branch on Thursday with the body of his father, Gobind Oraon.
Karamchand alleged that the non-cooperative attitude of Sirka bank manager Alok Baisakh was the cause of the death of his father.
“If the manager sahib had transferred my babuji’s money on time, his life would have been saved. I came to the bank many times with my father. My father also told the bank manager his inability to come, expressing his ill-health and requested to transfer all the money to his son’s bank account. But the manager paid no attention,” he said.
It is to be known that Gobind Oraon had retired from CCL Sirka two years ago due to a serious hand injury. He was unable to write, due to which his ATM and cheque book facility had already been closed by the bank.
On March 30, Gobind Oraon died in RIMS Ranchi. The relatives of the deceased wanted to get the treatment of their father in some big hospital, for which money was needed.
Karamchand kept making rounds of the bank, but the bank manager did not solve his problems and despite having money, the family members of Gobind Oraon could not get treatment and died.
There has been a demand for a high-level inquiry and legal action on the insensitivity and non-cooperative attitude of the manager after the incident.
