Ramgarh, Nov 1: A 14-year-old teenager Prince Kumar drowned on Monday while bathing in the IAG Dam in Bhadaninagar. Prince, son of Daltenganj resident Indrajit Saw, had come with his mother to celebrate Nanihal Chhath in Bhurkunda Sundernagar.

As he was saved from drowning, he informed the villagers about Prince and a rescue operation was carried out. By the time the villagers took out Prince from the depths of the dam with hard work, both his friends escaped.
Further, the family took Prince to Asha Nursing Home at Bhurkunda Laxmi Talkies Maidan and later to Hope Hospital in Ramgarh, where doctors declared him brought dead. This incident caused a wave of mourning in the Bhurkunda coalfield.
