Ramgarh, Jan 31: A man identified as Gayaram Mahatha (53), Sankul Sadhan Sevi, CRP was murdered by unidentified criminals in the Ramgarh district at around 1:30 pm on Monday.
As per information, the deceased was on his way to his home after visiting the remote UUI Murudih of Gola in the Ramgarh district. The attackers riding Bolero ambushed him near Sangrampur Bazar Tand. The killer first pushed Mahatha`s bike and then attacked him with a sharp weapon, severely injuring Mahatha.
The locals rushed to rescue him, but all the attackers fled to Bolero via Jaradih.
After receiving the information, the Gola police reached the scene and with the help of locals, Mahatha was immediately admitted to the Community Health Center (CHC), Gola. After primary treatment, he was referred to RIMS. Mahatha later succumbed to injuries.

As per the family, Mahatha’s relatives have killed him due to old enmity.
Meanwhile, the locals said that the attackers were standing near the market shed for a long time. When Mahatha’s bike reached, the attackers deliberately hit his bike. Due to this, Mahatha fell off the bike. Sensing danger, he tried to run away, but the assailants started hitting him on the head with a stick. The people around tried to nab the attackers but they fled away.
After the incident, the news spread throughout the whole area. Police also assured the family that they will soon arrest the suspects involved in the incident.
