Ramgarh, Nov.16: 1971 war Vijay Mashal reached different parts of Ramgarh town on Tuesday. A large number of local people welcomed the Vijay Mashal and paid tribute to war heroes.
During the 3rd day of ‘Swarnim Vijay Varsh’, Vijay Mashal, commemorating 50 years of India’s Victory over Pakistan in 1971, was taken around Ramgarh town where it was received by civilian dignitaries, citizens, ex-servicemen and ‘Veer Naris’.
During the town tour, the Vijay Mashal stopped at Kshatriya Mahasabha, Gandhi Chowk and Guru Nanak Public School. The Cycle teams of Punjab and Sikh Regimental Centre led the march while a live band was performing on the ALS all along the route. Students, ex- servicemen and ‘Veer Naris’ welcomed the Vijay Mashal by raising the slogan ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ and waved the national flag on the occasion.
Later, cultural ceremonies, Jharkhandi tribal dance, painting, slogan writing and history narration of the 1971 war was organised at Army Public school. NCC Students received Vijay Mashal at APS. Hashumkh, Padam Shri (2021) for Jharkhand Folk singing paid his tribute to the Vijay Mashal by his folk songs and later a prize ceremony was organised for winning students.
