Ranchi: 11-member NHRC team arrives on three-day visit

Ranchi, Aug.16: An 11-member National Human Right Commission team headed by its chairperson, Justice Arun Mishra, today landed at Birsa Munda Airport on a three-day Jharkhand visit.

The team will hear existing cases pertaining to Jharkhand from 2.30pm to 4.30pm before interacting with civil society organisations from 4.45pm to 5.45pm and media from 5.45pm to 6.15pm.

The team will visit tomorrow Ranchi Institute of Neuro Psychiatry and Allied Sciences (RINPAS) and Central Institute of Psychiatry (CIP) in Kanke before leaving for Rajrappa.

On August 18, the team members will attend a workshop on the topic, ’RINPAS and CIP: Issues and Challenges”. Finally, the team will have a meeting with senior officers of the Jharkhand government.

The team is expected to leave Ranchi at 8.30pm day after tomorrow.
