Ranchi, Oct 12: The Birsa Munda Airport authority has taken strong exception to a news report suggesting a flight of the Indian cricketers, who were in Ranchi for the IND vs SA ODI on October 9, took off one and a half hours late due to non-payment of Rs 75,000 parking and ground landing charge.

Contradicting the information, airport director K L Agrawal informed through a press release that a special plane of Spicejet (SG 9923) and its passengers were provided all the facilities in accordance with law and the Indian Airport authority did not make any delay.

According to the director, the reason behind the delay was the arrival of special flights and other operating procedures. He claimed that the airport authority is committed to providing appropriate facilities to all passengers.
