Ranchi: Amity University, CIP sign MoU to accelerate contributions through research

Ranchi, April 28: Amity University, Jharkhand and the Central Institute of Psychiatry (CIP) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to foster a research learning environment for accelerating the contributions to academia.

Talking in this regard, Dr Nishant Goyal, CIP said, “The scope of the MoU is an exchange of academic staff, exchange of graduate and undergraduate students for joint research activities. We further hope to organise joint seminars and conduct joint meetings for academic purposes along with sharing independent work and research activities with each other for our common interests.”

He further continued, “This MoU is not just with the management department, but in general with Amity University. For instance, if the management department wants to do something with brain correlates of organizational behaviours, they can collaborate with us. We may also collaborate if they want to work on the business aspect of a project and its connection with neuropsychology.”

“Management students may even have classes in topics like Neuroscience of Human Behaviour or How Neuroscience is related to team building and leadership among others,” Dr Goyal suggested.

Informing about the collaboration, Prof. (Dr.) Ajit Kumar Pandey, Director, Amity University, Jharkhand said that the MoU is signed between two academic giant institutions namely the Central Institute of Psychiatry and Amity University, Jharkhand which is known for their research and studies related to the human capital formation through sound, mental health and prudent thinking on the auspicious on the birthday of the Chairperson of Amity Education Group and to mark the beginning of the human value.

“The collaborative research studies in the greater extent of the state of Jharkhand and its inhabitants will also incorporate the faculty exchanges in the field of the study of human behaviour and the psychological impacts of change in the social set up and fabric through the increasing industrialization and urbanization process,” he added.

The MoU was signed by Prof. (Dr) Basudeb Das, Director, CIP and Prof. (Dr.) Raman Kumar Jha, Vice-Chancellor, Amity University, Jharkhand who appreciated the joint efforts of the institutions.
