Ranchi, Oct 19: The work of the Jharkhand Mukhyamantri SHRAMIK Yojana in the urban local bodies (ULB) of the state is going far behind the set target with the worst condition in Ranchi and Jamshedpur. Both these ULBs have not even met the 30 per cent target of issuing job cards.
At the same time, the work allotment has also not reached 20 per cent of the target. Ranchi was given a target to generate 9193 job cards, but so far only 2510 job cards have been generated. On the other hand, the target of work allotment was 187659 days, out of which only 34,992 days of work were given, which is only 18.6 per cent against the fixed target.
Jamshedpur had a target of 5,801 job cards out of which only 1,599 were made. On the other hand, against the target of 1,18,418 days of work allotment, only 15,415 days of work was allotted which is only 13 per cent of the fixed target.
At the same time, 20 ULBs have achieved 100% target of making job cards, out of which 4 ULBs have allotted 100% work. These include Chas, Koderma, Latehar and Dhanwar. While 16 bodies have given 18 to 90 percent of the work against the target of work allotment which includes Hussainabad 65.5%, Hariharganj 90.6%, Chhatarpur 60.3%, Vishrampur 61.7%, Ramgarh 50.2%, Domchanch 58.2%, Jhumri Tilaiya 68.1%, Bundu 86.7%, Chatra 56.4%, Bachra 46.0%, Gumla 56.7%, Chakulia 39.6%, Jamtara 18.3%, Deoghar 76.6%, Pakur 30.9% and Rajmahal 84.6%.
A target has been set to make 55,402 job cards in 50 bodies of the state, while only 34,728 have been made so far. At the same time, 10 lakh days of work was to be given to the workers, whereas till now only 3,47,241 days of work has been given. The performance of 22 bodies including Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Giridih and Dhanbad is the worst in giving work to the workers. These bodies have not allotted even 50 per cent of the work so far.
