Ranchi, May 2: Ranchi Deputy Commissioner Chhavi Ranjan ordered the Civil Surgeon to thoroughly examine ultrasound conducting institutions at regular intervals. This came to the fore during a review meeting of the District Advisory Committee PC & PNDT on Monday.
In this meeting, the DC has given strict instructions to the Civil Surgeon not to issue ultrasound licenses to institutions that have not got their renewal done within the prescribed limit under the Clinical Establishment Act.
The DC said, “The civil surgeon should ensure that the use of the building for conducting ultrasound is done on the registered lease of the relevant papers, otherwise his proposal should be cancelled.”
During the meeting, a total of 7 proposals for new registration, 11 proposals for renewal and one proposal for change of site were thoroughly discussed.
A total of six proposals were approved. Four proposals for new registration, one proposal for renewal and one proposal for relocation were accepted.
The DC said that approval will be given only after fulfilling the lack of necessary documents in other proposals.
