Ranchi DC inaugurates ‘Sweep Carnival’ in Bedo

Ranchi, June 18: Ranchi DC Chhavi Ranjan inaugurated the ‘Sweep Carnival’ organised in Bedo block by the district administration on Saturday.

The DC on the occasion said that all eligible voters should exercise their franchise during the Mandar by-election. People of all age groups should participate in this by-election on June 23.

In the Mandar by-election, special arrangements have been made for all Divyangjan and senior citizens above 80-year-old and voters suffering from Covid-19. All of them have been provided with the facility of postal ballots.

 

 

Along with this, arrangements for vehicles have also been made by the district administration so that all the old, disabled, women, men and youth must cast their vote.

A football match was organised between the Devgaon football team Lapung and the Mahadani Bedo team. DC asked all the players to vote and motivate their relatives to vote as well. He also met Divyangjan on this occasion and inquired about the date of polling from them.

 

 

Notably, the DC also planted a tree of democracy and asked to use eco-friendly products at every polling station. He also awarded prizes to the school children who won the Rangoli competition. First place was secured by Kasturba Gandhi Residential Girls School, Bedo, second place was Upgraded Middle School, Bedo and Vivekananda School secured the third place.
