Ranchi, Oct 18: Deputy Commissioner Chhavi Ranjan directed to stop the salary of Kanke, Bedo, Chanho and Tamar MOICs (Medical Officers In-charge) due to poor performance in Covid-19 vaccination work during a meeting of the District Level Covid Task Force today.

During the meeting, the DC in view of the possibility of a third wave of Covid infection directed the concerned officials to complete all necessary preparations. He also asked Deputy Development Commissioner Vishal Sagar to take the lead in the vaccination work.

While reviewing the contact tracing cell, the DC directed the officers to keep updated information of positive patients. For the patients whose mobile phone is switched off or who do not receive the call, the DC directed the concerned officer of the cell to keep updated information through the location.

During the meeting, the DC reviewed the deputation of necessary manpower in all the Covid hospitals of the district to prepare for the possible third wave of Corona and ordered to finalize the deputation at the earliest.

Due to laxity in work regarding deputation of doctors, nurses, paramedical staff etc. in Sub-Division Hospital Bundu, the Deputy Commissioner ordered to stop the salary of MOIC Bundu.

“The salary of MOIC would be stopped till the deputation order is prepared in the sub-divisional hospital Bundu,” the DC said.

During the block-wise review of vaccination work the DC appreciated the better performing blocks in vaccination and ordered to complete the target at the earliest.

“The salary of the concerned BDO will be stopped if there is no improvement in the performance till Diwali,” the DC further said.

Deputy Development Commissioner; Additional District Magistrate, Law and Order, Ranchi; Sub-Divisional Officer Ranchi and Bundu; Civil Surgeon; Nodal Officers of all Cells; all BDOs/COs, MOICs and PMU members were present in the meeting organized through a virtual medium.
