Ranchi, March 15: Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendra 3.0 (PMKK 3.0) is currently being held at Don Bosco ITC at Kokar, Ranchi. It is being run by the Don Bosco Tech society.
A total of four different programmes have been offered to students which are Data entry operator, two & three-wheeler technician, Food and beverages steward and Assistant electrician. A total of 160 students are taking part in the programmes.
Under the ‘Skill India Mission’, the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) has formed state-of-the-art, visible, aspirational model training centres in every district of India. These model training centres are known as ‘Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendra’ (PMKK).
“Vocational training should be aspirational in order to transform India into the skill capital of the world. Therefore, MSDE aims to establish visible and aspirational Model Training Centres (MTCs) also known as Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendra, in every district of the country,” said one of the officials in a statement.
PMKK 3.0 is providing free training to its students along with free uniforms. They are also providing free computer classes, personality development along with free spoken English classes.
“The training is really helpful as it is providing detailed training in technical aspects. The course is free so more students should take part in it as it will brush up their skills,” said Anup, a technical student from Don Bosco ITC.
