Ranchi emerges as overall champion in 2nd Jharkhand Aerobic Gymnastics Championship

Dhanbad, May 30: Title favourite Ranchi emerged as the overall champion by bagging the highest 35 medals while host Dhanbad became the runner up with 17 medals in the 2nd Jharkhand Aerobic Gymnastics Championship which concluded on Sunday evening.

The Ranchi team won 14 gold, 10 silver and 11 bronze medals followed by the Dhanbad team who won three gold, six silver medals and seven bronze medals.

The championship was organized by JNMS Senior Secondary School Digwadih in which 96 gymnasts of 12 districts participated.

 

Dr RN Choubey, director of the school, was the chief guest on the occasion, He along with officials of the state association gave away the medals and prizes to the successful participants. On the occasion, state association chairman Rajiv Ranjan, observer Rakesh Pandey, Tulika Srivastava, Jitendra Kumar (technical director), treasurer Govind Jha and Dipak Kumar Gupta were present.

Organising committee secretary Shashikant Pandey said that state president Nishikant Pathak also joined the inauguration function through video conferencing.

  • National Development event– Apurva (Dhanbad), Yasmin (Ranchi), Rudra (Dhanbad), Rudra (Ranchi)
  • Solo event sub-junior boys’ event- Sanjay (Deoghar), Sameer (Ranchi), Om Kumar (Dhanbad)
  • Girls’ event–  Ishika, Neha, Ridhima (all Dhanbad),
  • Junior boys’ solo event- Ayush (Ranchi), Nayan (Ranchi), Yash (Dhanbad), Vivek (Latehar)
  • Girls’ junior event-  Sonali (Ranchi), Anshika (Dhanbad), Tanushree (Ranchi)
  • Senior boys’ event- Suraj (Deoghar), Vishal (Dhanbad), Akash (Ranchi)
  • Senior girls’ event- Survi, Shruti, Swastika (all Ranchi)
  • Sub Junior Duet event- Om Kumar- Ridhima (Dhanbad), Apurva- Muskan (Dhanbad)
  • Junior Duet event- Nayan-Sonali, Tanushree – Ayush (all Ranchi), Ambika- Yash (Dhanbad)
  • Senior Duet event – Vikash-Shruti, Rajveer-Deepika (Ranchi)
  • Trio Junior event- Ayush Lohara- Ayush Swanshi- Nayan (Ranchi), Tanushree-Ishita-Anurag (Ranchi), Ritika-Murli- Raj (Ranchi)
  • Trio senior event- Vikash-Shruti-Survi (Ranchi), Rajveer- Amit-Suraj (Ranchi), Karan- Sanjay-Akash (Dhanbad)
  • Junior P Titus five-member event – Ranchi team champion, Dhanbad team second.
  • Senior P Titus – Vikash and group champion (Ranchi), Suraj and group runner up (Ranchi)
  • Aero Dance – Vikash and group champion (Ranchi)
