Ranchi, Dec 29: Poor management of seized vehicles at police stations across the state came to the fore after a fierce fire broke out in Lalpur police station premises in the heart of Jharkhand’s capital.
The incident took place in the evening when fire somehow reached the petrol tank of seized vehicles kept in open. Several vehicles came under the influence of fire and became out of control. The petrol tank of the vehicle started getting blasted.
Officials had to call the fire brigade. A crowd of people gathered on the spot. No casualties or injuries to police officials and staff have been reported.
