Ranchi, Jan.9: Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (JTET) qualified para-teachers and others have now come up with one platform to mount pressure on the state government regarding their demand for direct appointment to the post of government teachers.
They have constituted a joint union after a meeting at Oxygen Park in Morabadi under the leadership of Kunal Das.
The newly constituted union has unanimously decided that a delegation of the organisation will soon meet the education minister and chief minister requesting them to prepare a merit list based on the 2012 teacher recruitment rule.
They justified preparing the merit list in the way JTET was organized keeping the 2012 teacher recruitment rule in mind. The union also chalked out a strategy for agitation in case of non-fulfilment of their demands.
The aspiring government teachers were unhappy for not getting any opportunity to appear in counselling after they qualified for JTET. They also demanded a recruitment policy as soon as the Jharkhand High Court quashed the same rule.
