Ranchi: Man shoots landlord in Dhurwa, arrested

Ranchi, Sept.1: A man shot and injured his landlord after the former had suspicion that he had an illicit relationship with the latter’s wife.

 

The incident took place at Adarsh Nagar under Dhurwa police station area in the morning.

 

Officer-in-charge of Dhurwa police station Praveen Kumar confirmed the incident saying the accused has been identified as Dwarika Singh while the landlord is Vimal Mahli.

 

“The accused will be produced before the court on Friday,” OC Kumar said.

 

A locality resident said a constable of Namkum police station Santosh Kumar caught the accused red-handed and snatched his firearms from his possession. He was honoured for his action.

 

Singh shot at Mahli when the latter was returning to his home after dropping his son to school.
