Ranchi: Marwari College to hold 4th Convocation Ceremony on Jan 20

Ranchi, Jan 19: The Marwari College is set to hold its fourth convocation ceremony for students of graduation and post-graduation courses of 2013-15, 2014-17, 2015-18; and 2014-16, 2015-17, 2016-18 batches respectively on January 20. Earlier, the third convocation ceremony was organised in the college in 2015.

Notably, a total of 7235 degrees will be distributed among students of three batches of graduation and masters each. Of these, 6,382 degrees will be given to students for graduation courses, and 853 degrees will be given to students for Masters courses.

While talking about the upcoming event, the college Principal Dr Manoj Kumar said that all the preparations regarding the convocation ceremony are in the final stage. The students will be collecting their degrees in traditional apparel as the dress code has also been fixed for the students. Male students will be wearing white kurta-pyjama, while female students will be wearing white saris with a red border.

Moreover, of the above-mentioned batches of students, gold medals will be given to 89 toppers of both graduation and masters programmes.

Toppers of UG session 2013-16 and PG session 2014-16 include Dharini Mahti in Bengali, Roopam in Economics, Asif in English, Harshita Singh in Geography, Aarti in Hindi, Sikdar Kumar in History, Rukhsar Jeva in Home Science, Deepika Birua in Philosophy, Sneha in Political Science, Aasmani Kumari in Psychology, Mumtaz Rahmani in Urdu, Sanjana in Kudukh, Pooja in Nagpuri, Suman in Botany, Ranjit in Chemistry, Abdul Hai in Mathematics, Pooja in Physics, Asmita Sadhu in Zoology, Ankur in Fashion Designing, Basit Ali in Computer Application, Uzma Afreen in Biotechnology, Shalini in Computer Maintenance, Dharmendra in IT, Neelam in CND, Pallavi in BBA, Amardeep in BCom, Divya in MCom, Shavanam Ara in MBA, Shafinaz Bano in MSc Biotechnology, and Parabavula Shravani in MCA.

Meanwhile, gold medalists of UG Session 2014-17 and PG 2015-17 include Sumit Das in Bengali, Anant Singh Deo in Economics, Ajit Kumar Sharma in English, Ramnath Gaju in Geography, Kumari Piki in Hindi, Bajrang Kashi in History, Priyanka Srivastava in Home Science, Sonali Chakraborty in Philosophy, Akshay Prasad in Political Science, Aarti Kumari in Psychology, Ashfaq Ahmed in Urdu, Mukesh Munda in Nagpuri, Rukeya Sajjad in Botany, Pratiksha Kumari in Chemistry, Rajni Kumari in Mathematics, Preeti Gupta in Physics, Rukhsar Jahan in Zoology, Jeba Nigar in Fashion Designing, Purushottam Kumar Sanu in Computer Application, Shama Arshi in Biotechnology, Deepika Kumari in Computer Maintenance, Abhishek Singh in IT, Aradhana Lakra in CND, Naureen Kiyanat in BBA, Aman Kumar Verma in BCom, Aman Kumar Pandey in MCom, Kishore Nand Kumar in MBA, Bhavna Singh in MSc Biotechnology, and Nitya Kumari in MCA.
