Ranchi Mayor demands CBI probe into murder of Bajrang Dal activist

Ranchi, Dec.29: Ranchi Mayor Asha Lakra demanded a CBI probe into the murder of Bajrang Dal activist and a jewellery shop owner Mukesh Soni, who was shot dead on December 15 at Chitatand under Khelari police station.

 

Apart from the CBI probe, Mayor Lakra also demanded Rs one crore and a government job for the dependents of Soni as compensation besides proper action against the two identified as accused so far in the case and proper arrangement of education for two children of the deceased.

 

The Mayor raised the demand after she visited the residence of the deceased and talked to his family members. She also talked to S.P.(rural) Naushad Alam in this connection and came to know about the latest status of the case.

 

After raising the demand, she expressed her concern over the deteriorating law and order of the state and said that criminals have become very active in the state and are targeting the BJP leaders and sympathisers.
